With more than four decades of experience in the financial industry, Barry has managed money for more than 1000 families, non-profit organizations and businesses.  As an LPL Investment Advisor Representative, Barry is registered to sell securities in 28 states and holds the following professional designations and licenses:

  • Registered Principal, LPL Financial

  • LPL Financial Investment Advisor Representative (IAR)

    A believer in life-long learning, he attends numerous conferences and continuing education events each year and reads hundreds of professional publications every month.  In addition, he meets the continuing education requirements of the following organizations:  LPL Financial 10 hours including coursework on ethics and anti-money laundering annually; Certified Employee Benefits Society --30 hours bi-annually; Registered Financial Consultant—40 hours annually; Insurance—24 hours; biannually.

    Barry is very involved with his community and supports a number of nonprofit organizations.  Pierce County Alliance:  Barry is the past President of the Board of Directors and has served on the Board for more than 25 years.  PCA is the largest not-for-profit organization headquartered in Western Washington with a budget of over $9 million. The mission of PCA is to be a leader in the provision of human services, specializing in substance abuse and mental health services for individuals, families and the community.

  • L'Arche Tahoma Hope supports developmentally disabled adults.
  • Orphans Africa works to provide education and opportunities for orphans and widows in Tanzania Africa
  • Project Ethiopia is working to improving rural quality of life, ensuring that children are educated and families are able to live in healthy environments, supported by economically sustainable farm-based businesses.
  • The Humane Society of the United States is the nation's largest and most effective animal protection organization.


Barry is a graduate of the University of California Los Angeles, with degrees in history and political science.  He lives and works in Des Moines, Washington.  Barry and Becky have been married for more than 40 years and they have three cats, Angel, Rory and Murray, all rescued from local shelters.
